Genus Hesionura

Hartmann-Schröder, 1958

Description:
Prostomium much longer than broad, with four antennae. Nuchal papillae absent. All segments fully developed. Three pairs of tentacular cirri (1+2). Dorsal cirri absent on segment 3. Chaetae present from segment 3. Parapodia uniramous. Rostrum of chaetal shaft in at least some chaetae bi- or trifid. One or several chaetae with the shaft and blade fused. Blades short, coarsely serrated.
