Genus Neoamphitrite

Description:
Three pairs of gills (on segments 2-4). Gills dichotomous, with distinct, usually short stems, usually with long tips. Lateral lobes on the anterior segments. Notopodial chaetae starting at segment 4, uncinigerous tori from segment 5. 17-25 thoracic segments. Notopodial chaetae subdistally denticulate.
