Description:
Body with 15 pairs of scales. They occur on segments 1, 3, 4 and 6 then alternately to the 22nd then on segments 25, 28 and 31. Prostomium with a median antenna, and a pair of lateral antennae with ventral insertion. Scale margins usually with a fringe of papillae and surfaces with small and large tubercles. Notopodial chaetae capillaries or stout; neuropodial chaetae with bidentate and sometimes a few with unidentate tips.
