Description:
Body with few to many segments. Segments with or without rings of cilia. Prostomium with a pair of short, ovoid or thread-like antennae and a pair of similar palps; more rarely without palps or without antennae and palps. With or without small dorsal and ventral cirri. Both compound and simple chaetae. No forked chaetae. Mandibles and maxillae present.
