Description:
Body small, vermiform with 16-18 chaetigers; without obvious secondary annulation.
Prostomium big, conical, longer than wide, with 2 curving nuchal slits and a small median papilla. Eyes absent.
Noto- and neuropodia close together, without lappets. No gills.
Pygidial tube very long, cylindrical, with up to 40 rings and a long medioventral cirrus.

Size:
Up 10 mm to for 18 segments.

Colour:
Transparent.

Habitat:
A deep-sea species, found between 200-4500 m depth.

Distribution:
Arctic, North Atlantic, Mediterranean, Skagerrak.
