Description:
Body long, with numerous segments, flattened anteriorly.
Protomium small, triangular; without eyes.
Thorax with 14-17 chaetigers. Thoracic notopodia with a simple, cirriform postchaetal lobe and a bundle of capillaries. Thoracic neuropodia with 7-9 conical postchaetal papillae and several rows of stout chaetae and capillaries. Posterior 3-5 thoracic neuropodia with 4-5 thick, brown, spear-like spines. On neuropodia 13-17 up to 20, conical subpodial papillae are present.
Abdominal neuropodia slender and bilobed, with a few capillary chaetae; ventral cirri pointed. Abdominal notopodia with a long finger- or tongue-shaped postchaetal lappet; capillary and forked chaetae. No interramal cirrus.
Gills long and lanceolate, starting at parapodium 4-6.
Pygidium unknown.
Size:
Incomplete specimen 7 mm for 34 segments.
Colour:
Bright yellowish.

Arctic, North Atlantic to Mediterranean, northern North Sea, Skagerrak, Falkland Islands.
