Description:
Very small and short interstitial polychaeta of unknown affinities.
Prostomium fused to peristomium, with or without antennae or palps.
Peristomial portion limited to lips.
First segment with or without biramous or uniramous parapodia, usually without tentacular cirri.
Other parapodia biramous with an interramal cirrus. No aciculae. Chaetae compound or capillary. Dorsal and ventral cirri absent.
Pygidium with or without two cirri.
Pharynx eversible with a unique organ with intracellular skeletal elements (Nerillidae).
