Description:
Prostomium and peristomium fused. Prostomium conical, with lateral nuchal slits.
Thorax with 9 segments. First and second segment biannulate, next thoracic segments triannulate. A ventral furrow from 6th-10th chaetiger.
Abdominal segments smooth, slightly triannulate.
All segments with hooded hooks, capillary chaetae absent. Hooks are slender with a weak swelling along the shaft and with 2-3 small teeth over the large terminal tooth
Gills absent.
Pygidium with a longitudinal furrow, without cirri.

Size:
Up to 18 mm for 72 segments.

Colour:
Probably transparent.

Distribution:
Northern North Sea.
