Eucranta villosa

Description:
Prostomium of this scale-worm with a rather blunt anterior edge. The first pair of scales are round, the rest oval to kidney-shaped, the margins fringed with long, filamentous papillae, the surfaces covered with long, filamentous papillae and the anterior part with microtubercles. Notopodial chaetae short, strongly bent, blunt and with fine teeth. Neuropodial chaetae longer, upper ones deeply cleft with both teeth long and narrow, middle and lower ones shorter, unidentate (E. villosa-detail).

Size:
Up to 53 mm for 40 segments.

Colour:
Scales partly brownish.

Habitat:
Unknown.

Distribution:
Norway, Skagerrak, Koster area, Spitsbergen, Barents Sea.
