Description:
Body long, slender, with numerous segments.
Prostomium short, composed of ca. eight rings, with palps and antennae forming a cross at the tip.
Segments triannulate, mid-body segments biannulate.
Parapodia are short with two triangular prechaetal lamellae and a single, rounded postchaetal lamella. Dorsal cirri are small, round. Ventral cirri short and triangular (G. capitata-detail ).
Notopodial chaetae are capillaries, neuropodial chaetae are compound with finely toothed blade.
Gills absent.
Pharynx with papillae of two kinds: rounded and tall cones.
Aileron with an inner branch united to the outer branch by an interramal plate.

Unknown.

Colour:
Greyish, flushed with pink anteriorly.

Habitat:
Shallow sublittoral.

Distribution:
Off Norway, Greenland and Spitsbergen.
