Description:
Body of this scale-worm is elongate, anteriorly and posteriorly tapering.
Prostomium deeply cleft, broader than long.
First segment with aciculae and two chaetae on each side.
The first pair of scales are round, the rest oval to kidney-shaped, transparent, the margins fringed with long, filamentous papillae, the surfaces covered with minute microtubercles and a row of big tubercles on the posterior edge of the scale. Big tubercles dark, short conical. Noto- and neuropodia with acicular ligule.
Upper notopodial chaetae short and bent, lower ones somewhat shorter and straight.
Upper neuropodial chaetae slender and spinose, lower neuropodial chaetae thicker and completely smooth, without spinose region; all with small secondary tooth.
Size:
Up to 13 mm for 34 segments.
Colour:
Dorsum reddish brown to violet. Prostomium lighter. Scales colourless.

Unknown.
Distribution:
Arctic, Skagerrak.
