Description:
Prostomium with two eyes and a small antenna. Caruncle reaching chaetiger 8-13.
Notopodial postchaetal lobes in anterior segments pointed, posteriorly blunt; biggest on segments 3-9. Anterior parapodia with capillary chaetae only. From neuropodium 28-37 onwards also hooks present and posterior 6-34 notopodia also with thin hooks.
25-31 pairs of gills, starting at chaetiger 2.

Size:
Up to 90 mm for 130 segments.

Shetlands to Norway, northern North Sea to Kattegat.
