Description:
Body small and thin.
Prostomium broadly rounded without eyes. Prostomium with 3 antennae and 2 simple palps.
Median antenna as long as lateral ones, inserted in the posterior edge of the prostomium. Lateral antennae shorter than prostomium. Palps a little shorter.
6 pairs of simple tentacular cirri on 3 segments.
Dorsal tentacular cirri of second segment the longest, at least as long as segment width. Dorsal and ventral cirri simple.
Dorsal cirri hardly longer than parapodial lobes. Ventral cirri most often shorter than the parapodial lobes.
Blades of compound chaetae on parapodia of different size, finely serrated and bidentate (M. bifurcatus-detail).
Additionally two simple chaetae in upper and lower neuropodia, serrated at one side and with bidentate tips.
Pygidial plate deeply incised. Pharynx with 10 terminal papillae, without jaws.

Size:
Body up to 1.5 mm for 12 segments.

Colour:
Transparent.

Habitat:
Unknown.

Distribution:
Skagerrak.
