Description:
Body thick and strong.
Prostomium quadrangular or pentagonal with two antennae and two similar palps.
First segment with reduced dorsal tentacular cirri (humps); ventral ones conical somewhat longer than the palps.
Parapodia: shape of the postchaetal lamellae simple, acicular lobes of the notopodia rounded and of the neuropodia conical pointed, prechaetal lamellae rudimentary. Neuropodial postchaetal lamellae without vascular structures.
Gills start at segment 5 to 14, missing from 15 to the posterior end.
Pharynx with 22 longitudinal rows of 5 to 6 papillae.

Size:
Up to 200 mm long for 150 segments.

Colour:
In alcohol yellowish to whitish-grey.

Habitat:
Unknown.

Distribution:
Widely distributed in the area.
