Nerillidium marinum

(Faubel, 1978)

Description:
Prostomium with two thread-shaped, simple, frontally directed antennae (length 75 µm), and two laterally directed club-shaped palps (40 µm long). No eyes. Complex of pear-shaped glands between the palps. Eight chaetigers of similar size and shape, the parapodia of which each possess a small cirrus (length 9 µm) and a dorsal and ventral bundle of simple capillary chaetae of unknown shape.
Buccal pieces unknown.

Size:
Up to 350 µm.

Colour:
Whitish, intestine yellowish.

Habitat:
Sublittoral, coarse shelly sediments (80 m depth).

Distribution:
North Sea, east of Scotland.
