Description:
Body long, cylindrical, with at least 45 chaetigers, 8 of them thoracic.
12 pairs of radioli, each with two rows of eyes and webbed to about half of their length. Collar short, dorsally deeply incised. Collar chaetae in rows. Thoracic uncini with companion chaetae. Thoracic and abdominal bundles of chaetae with capillary and spatulate chaetae.
Size:
Up to 30 mm for over 45 chaetigers.
Tube:
Membranous, covered with mud.
Colour:
Yellowish with red patches anteriorly.
Habitat:
In a muddy bottom, at 30 m depth.
Distribution:
Found only once, in the Little Belt, in 1879.
