Description:
Body somewhat club-shaped, long and slender.
Contours of prostomium more square than in Trilobodrilus axi . Ciliation pattern as in T. axi . Except for the two anterior trunk rings that follow the prostomium. Body with an indistinct external segmental constrictions; about 11 segments discernible. Extension of the pygidium not clearly recognizable. Epidermal compound refractive glands and bacillary glands throughout body.

Size:
Up to 1.5-1.9 mm; width 100-200 µm.

Colour:
White, opaque; gut faintly brownish.

Habitat:
Sublittoral coarse sandy and shelly sediments. Typical for Amphioxus sands.

Distribution:
North Sea (Helgoland), English Channel (Roscoff area), Skagerrak (Swedish West coast, Gullmarfjord), Mediterranean.
