Description:
Prostomium roundly triangular or bell-shaped, with four eyse in a trapezoid arrangement or without eyes; without antenna. Caruncle reaching chaetiger 3 or 4.
Notopodial postchaetal lobes in first segment cirriform, in segment 2-4 broader, leaf-like, becoming shorter posteriorly, from segments 9 onwards increasingly asymmetrical. Neuropodial postchaetal lobes in first segments cirriform, becoming shorter posteriorly.
First neuropodium with 1 or 2 big, strongly bent spines. All notopodia and anterior neuropodia with long and shorter, usually, winged capillaries. Ventrally, these chaetae are more bent and broader winged than the dorsal ones. From neuropodium 15 also 8-17 hooded hooks and from neuropodium 4-11 spines present.
Pygidium with 2-3 pairs of cirri.

Size:
Up to 29 mm for 71 segments.

Colour:
Often with brown pigment on neuropodial postchaetal lobes.

Habitat:
Unknown.

Distribution:
Northern North Sea, Japan, Arctic.
